Hi Glynnis: I was hooked once reading the Warrior Maids. I love books about strong women. I also love books about wounded warriors and so The Outcast was just the thing I needed. My question is, do you have any advice for new authors like myself? I've published three books and I'm happy with the reviews and the sales considering that I'm new and unknown, but I want to get better.

The two words I always give for advice are passion and persistence. The passion is loving what you do. Never write a book if your heart isn't in it. The persistence is the willingness to stick with it, taking helpful criticism, rewriting, throwing away passages that may be darlings but don't advance the plot, letting cruel reviews roll off your back. Keep writing!

I see you live in LA? I live in San Gabriel, CA just south of Pasadena (everybody knows where Pasadena is!). I also see you lived in Paradise, CA. Such a sad story there with the fires. Fortunately, we now have lush green everywhere, and hopefully not as many fires. No question, just reaching out since I see you live in SoCal and I am new to your books, and to say "Hi."
