When you visited Scotland, did you get a chance to visit a medieval castle? What do you find interesting about the castles in Scotland?

Glynnis Campbell I don't think I've ever been to Scotland without visiting a castle! They're just so cool. In the U.S., nothing is over about 250 years old. But castles have been there for centuries. It's fascinating to think of the people who walked up the same steps and touched the same walls. Another interesting aspect is the condition of the castles. Some are in ruins, and some are restored and fully furnished. Best of all, about five castles in Scotland belonged to the Campbells at one time!
