Glynnis Campbell I currently have a little Maltese named Peanut. Her story is quite interesting. About 8 years ago, my brother died, and I invited my mom to stay with us in L.A. for a few weeks so she wouldn't be alone in her grief. When she returned home, this scraggly, lost dog had sneaked in through the cat door and was sleeping on her pillow. No owner could be found, so we decided it was my brother come back to keep her company. When her house burned down in the famous Paradise fire in 2018, she came to live with us full-time, and when Mom moved into assisted living last year, we kept Peanut. She goes to visit every few weeks.
