Amanda Bridgeman 1) Listen to advice, but take it all with a pinch of salt. Everyone is different and what works for one, may not work for another. 2) Always say 'Thank you'. Appreciate when people go out of their way for you. It's a small world. 3) You need to decide if you want a career in writing, or whether you just want to write as a hobby. If you want a career in writing, then you must treat it as a business, and commit the time and attention it requires.
