Prudence appears rather naive about intrigue in the first book of the Custard Protocol series. It does appear that Lord Akeldama taught her a few things about subterfuge... but there also appear great holes in her education. And why didn't Lord Akeldama send her to the Finishing School? (I have a few guesses...)

Gail Carriger Lord Akeldama respects Lady Maccon's wishes about what to reveal to their daughter to far as skills and family history. As for Finishing School... wait for it.

Hi Gail, I would like to buy the first 3 e-books in the Parasol Protectorate series but they don't seem to be available in the Netherlands. The 4th and 5th books are available but not the first three... Do you know why? And when they will be available? I love your books and I wanted to re-read the Parasol Protectorate series since my old E-reader crashed and I lost a lot of books.
