Hi Gail, I would like to buy the first 3 e-books in the Parasol Protectorate series but they don't seem to be available in the Netherlands. The 4th and 5th books are available but not the first three... Do you know why? And when they will be available? I love your books and I wanted to re-read the Parasol Protectorate series since my old E-reader crashed and I lost a lot of books.

If the 4th and 5th books are available, those are likely pirated and illegal. I would urge you to write to my publisher about this whole thing: Orbit. They might know what is goign on.
However, I make all of my Parasolverse stand alone offerings available world wide, which includes the recent MEAT CUTE: The HEDGEHOG INCIDENT short story about how Alexia and Conall met. Also the reunions story for Biffy & Lyall, and the one in which Madame Lefoux finally finds true love.
But I have no control over how my traditional publishers distribute my books. It's one of the reasons I also self publish stuff, so I can reach a wider audience with fewer restrictions.

In the Finishing School series, Sophronia mentions a couple of times that something bad happened to the telegraph. What exactly happened? I don't recall its being mentioned at all in the Protectorate or Custard books. (I'm currently in book 3 of the Finishing School series; completed the others.)
