I don't know how this process works and am sure you may have been told this before; but I want to share something I want to see. I was browsing the bookstore just the other day and I happened on several themed Monopoly sets. Two of these sets were based on The Legend of Zelda and another on A Game of Thrones. I have never bought a themed Monopoly game; but I want The Red Queen's War! Can you make it happen, Mark!?

Mark Lawrence I can't. Almost everything of that nature is pull rather than push. I'm often asked to 'allow' a movie to be made of the Broken Empire books. It doesn't work like that. I have to hope there is interest.

I expect if my books sell 100x more and endure in popularity for a couple of decades then the Monopoly people will come knocking at my door (with an email) :)

Re: Your review of "Wizard and Glass"? Not really a question I very much liked your review of it which I'm listen to as an audio-book. You gave me some valuable insight into why I am so ambivalent. I find I'm struggling to "pay attention" and enjoy this book. I have to admit to struggling with a tendency to be "a Roland", while recognizing the virtue of being "an Oy". As a former AI researcher, do you have thoughts you would care to share wrt the technological singularity? Perhaps to get the ball rolling you might consider - Will global warming get us first? or In the absence of an evolutionary or programmed fear of "death", why would an AI even think to protect itself from being turned off?
