Sylvain Reynard:
SR, GOE does a great job in working Steps 1-11 throughout much of the book, however, I am looking at Step 12: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other alcoholics and practice these principles in all of our affairs. Is Gabriel able to work the 12th step? He needs to in order to maintain his sobriety. What do you think? Thanks very much, Marilyn

Dear Mariilyn,
Thanks for your question.
Gabriel's story isn't finished. We've been encountering him in "The Prince" and "The Raven," and he is also present in "The Shadow" and will be so in the final book in The Florentine Series, which I am writing currently.
After that, it's possible I will write another book about Gabriel...
But like every human being (and every literary character that makes us believe he or she is human), Gabriel is on a journey. He will move forward and he will make mistakes. But I believe in redemption, especially for this character.
Thanks for your question,
SR.

Hi SR. If Dante were still alive and witnessed Gabriel's life, do you think Dante will see himself in Gabriel? If so, will he respect il professore and be a self-absorbed man or will he be appalled and be a hypocrite? Also, if you can hint on something to reveal a bit about yourself, what would it be? You can't say you're Canadian! You also can't argue that this would rather defeat the purpose of pen name. Thanks! :)
