Hello Dean Murray this is Kyndra. I am soooo caught up in your book Broken and it is like making my ideas sprout through my brain. I love to write and I was wondering if you could give me any tips at all at writing? It would mean A LOT to me because I really want to get better at writing. It would be greatly appreciated. Your Writer, Kyndra Parker

Hi, Kyndra.
I'm glad that you're enjoying Broken so much, and that it is sparking your own creativity!
I don't know that I'm the best one to offer up advice about writing, but there are a few things I can suggest that may be helpful.
1. Try to write every day--even just a little. I find that getting writing again after I stop is really difficult, but when I have the habit of writing 6 days a week, things go much more smoothly and books sometimes seem to come together almost of their own accord.
2. Focus on the story and the characters. I think that is what makes for a more compelling book than something with lots of pretty phrases and stunning dialogue that never seems to go anywhere.
3. Be ready to practice a lot. Writing is just like anything else, it takes practice to get better at it.
I hope that helps--I wish you all the best in your writing endeavors!

Hello Dean. I wanted to ask you one important question I've been meaning to ask you. Do we get to find out what happened to Lucy after she was visited by Imastious? (I thought he might turn her out of spite). And does Geoffrey finally remember who Lucy is and what she means to him. I was heartbroken when I saw the ending to A Darkness Mirrored. Cliffhanger and a half! Zahra.

Hi Dean, I got into your Reflections series after buying books 1-7 when they were on offer on Amazon. I was gripped from the first chapter of book 1, to the extent that as soon as I finished the 7, I immediately bought the next and when I finished that, the next and so on. I've just finished Marked, and I'm chomping at the bit for the next one! Any hint as to when it can be expected? Julie Dent
