Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Chris Malburg I was recuperating from surgery. Laying there in my hospital bed a lovely nurse suggested that I create a place in my mind to go where the pain couldn't find me. I created Bart's Cove pretty much as it appears in A Pirate's Time Served. I populated my beautiful Caribbean island with its warm, crystal waters with the characters you now see in the book. The wreck of the Merryweather came about one day when I needed a huge distraction. The more detail you see in the book, the more distraction I needed. Merryweather is a very detailed ship wreck. After my recovery I found that my book was plotted and ready to write.
