How do you get inspired to write?

Chris Malburg The thrill of success is my inspiration to write. Authors define success as different things at different points in their career. Before my first book was published (I have 27 now on the market) success meant getting an agent. Three books later, success meant having my publisher call me to see if I was interested in a project. Now, with A Pirate’s Time Served, success means getting enough copies into enough hands that we’ve formed a critical mass and the book goes viral. Pursuing that outcome is currently my motivator.
