Miri asked Katie McGarry:

Hi Katie, I am a huge fan and have read all the books in the PTL series and Red at Night more than once! Attention has been captured completely. I love that you tackle real life issues in so many different ways and so respectfully i.e drugs, abuse, death etc. My question is are there any real life issues that you would not write about and to what depth would you explore the ones that you would?

Katie McGarry Hi Miri,

Thank you so much for reading my books. To be honest, there are a few subjects that I'm not sure I can tackle because it would hurt a lot to do so. I become very emotionally invested in my stories and characters. For instance, I gave one of my characters in Take Me On something I had gone through and there were times it was emotionally painful to write the story, but I'm glad I did write it. I don't really choose the topics of my books as much as the topic chooses me so, at this point, I'd hate to rule out any subject.

As for what depth would I go to explore--I like to do a lot of research for my books so I would probably handle each of my future books with the same care as I have with my past novels.

Thank you,

Katie
