How do you get over the fear of sending out your story/book to even your editor? I've only ever sent my story to my family and I feel like I need constructive criticism but they only want to give me happy feedback

Hi Kian,
Would you believe I wrote for years and never told anyone I was writing? My husband thought I was playing the world's longest game of Solitaire. ;-)
I loved writing so much that I eventually found the courage to tell people and I knew if I was going to improve that I needed to find a critique group. The first time I ever gave anyone my writing for critique I felt so sick to my stomach that I had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom to dry heave.
I love writing so much though that I washed my face, took a deep breath and walked back into the room. It does get easier to give your writing to other people the more you do it.
You just need to remember that when your are given constructive criticism that you need to not take it personally. They are trying to help you improve which is what you want!
I hope this helps!

I am a huge fan of all your works! I love all your characters, but Isaiah is one of my top favs, and I was wondering about his relations to the R of T MC. I've noticed that in the short stories that take place after Long Way Home, you've mentioned and even included Isaiah in Thunder Road works, but never mention and part of the TR family in Isaiah's stories. Why is that?

I just finished reading Say You'll Remember Me, and it almost left me in tears, and it did leave me feeling exhilarated and with happy tears pooled in my eyes. But, will you write a story for Axle, Dominic, Holiday, Kellan, or Marcus, even Henry? I can't choose whom I want a story on though!

I think out of all the books in the Pushing the Limits series, I loved Dare you to most of all since we get the reversal: good boy meets bad girl, which is so rare in YA. And I love hearing about Beth's story, even though my heart broke since poor Isaiah didn't have a chance with her I know you mentioned it before but why exactly did you decide not to have the two of them together? I was rooting for them
