I’ve been very fortunate to have a career involving international travel, which often put me in ambiguous situations, such as walking across the border from Israel to Egypt, or traveling through Saudi Arabia. Many of the experiences I’ve had ended up in my novels because after all, it is those things that actually happened that are the most believable, and also the most entertaining.
