(view spoiler)[I know you said you don't plan to write a sequel to the Riyria books, and I understand because the ending is PERFECT. There's just one thing I'm curious about. Royce says that he wants to make better connections between humans and elves, but what about the dwarves? I know Royce says many times that he doesn't like them, but it doesn't really seem like a happy ending if dwarves are still left landless and persecuted. (hide spoiler)]

Hey Karissa,
Thanks for writing. I do think that the future of Elan looks bright for all the various races involved. Royce certainly has warmed to the dwarves as a people due to his interactions with Magnus. Sure they've had their ups and downs, but he understands why Magnus is the way he is, and his gift to him at the end of the series shows that he cares. So, while I've not stated what happens between the three races, I think you have every reason for optimism.

Hi Michael, First, I wanted to say that I've read everything Elan-related, and I love how you've added the very realistic effect of distorting Elan's inhabitants' understanding of their own history between LotFE and RR. I have a quick question: I'm rereading Crown Conspiracy after reading LotFE, and Gutaria prison reminds me of Phyre (beyond what Myron says about feeling dead). Was that intentional?

Mankind in Elan is much younger than in our world, and has come from Calis, where humans are dark-skinned. Does that mean that all of humanity, also those in Elan, is much more dark skinned (than caucasian people in our world) in general, since there hasn't been that much time, evolutionary speaking, to develop different features such as pale skin? (How) would this influence the mir?
