It is fun. It is addictive. Being Deaf and unable to communicate with spoken words, I find that I am able to put all my thoughts and ideas to paper. Before losing my hearing and eyesight, I was a Paralegal and a Veterinary Nurse. In Finland, Deaf people have limited opportunity to get a job anywhere, as they are deemed unfit for work. I find that my previous occupations, although in the past, will never go to waste. I draw on my experiences and make the most of them.

Just received an email regarding your reviewing my first picture book THE LITTLE OLD MAN, THE LITTLE OLD WOMAN, AND THE LITTLE RED HEN. I clicked on your name and was taken to this page. Fascinating and inspirational life story. My family and I lived in Australia ten years some time ago. At the moment my middle daughter is living and working in Australia.
