Goodreads asked Rosie Malezer:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rosie Malezer It is fun. It is addictive. Being Deaf and unable to communicate with spoken words, I find that I am able to put all my thoughts and ideas to paper. Before losing my hearing and eyesight, I was a Paralegal and a Veterinary Nurse. In Finland, Deaf people have limited opportunity to get a job anywhere, as they are deemed unfit for work. I find that my previous occupations, although in the past, will never go to waste. I draw on my experiences and make the most of them.
