Have you ever considered writing another Women of the Otherworld book, but having the characters being the generation under the current characters, so like Kate, Logan, and Nita? I personally think that it would be a good follow up to the series and help us to get to know the kids even better.

I've always said I won't "soap-opera age" the kids--we see them as young children, they take off to boarding school and return a year later at sixteen :) That means the only way to show them as teens is to leap forward in time, which is difficult. It would mean writing a book set in, say, 2020. If I wrote that now, it wouldn't be long before that actual year came around and all my technology guesses etc would be wrong. It's the problem with writing near-future books. An odd answer, probably, but that's what keeps me from fast-forwarding 5 years or so in the series.

Love your work; marathoned all your YA series' and stand-alones this spring after coming across your entry into the Secrets series with Orca press. Also very cool to see a Canadian author killing it. Wondering if you have any great editor friends (Canadian would be rad, but any English-speaking would work) that would be interested in freelancing on a YA paranormal thriller?

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?
