What time do you estimate that you allocate to the various components of writing, publishing, and marketing a book?

Gigi Pandian I spend a lot more time writing than anything else. I self-published only one book, and it was so much work that I knew I wanted to work with publishers who would use their time and expertise on the other aspects of mystery publishing.

I also spend a lot of time attending author events, such as mystery conventions. There, it's a combination of promoting my books and getting to know other readers and writers -- which is very inspiring for getting back to writing!

I pop onto social media periodically, because it's fun to connect with readers and other writers, but when I'm writing I stay OFF the internet!
