Shea asked Sherrilyn Kenyon:

I'm confused. If the Sentella members hate the League why is it OK for their kids to join it?

Sherrilyn Kenyon Well, kids don't do what parents want them to. It's why I have a son in art school and not med school ;) All of the Sentella kids have made a point of saying their parents didn't want them in The League, but they joined anyway.

You also have to remember that it's 35 years later and post Sentella-League War. Lots of things change in 35 years. Case in point, 35 years ago the US and USSR were locked in a cold war no one thought would end. There were countries then that no longer exist today. Think of all that happened between WWI and WWII, or Vietnam and 2000, 1950 to 1985. Politically, socially, technologically and historically. That's the amount of time we're talking about. The League the children are a part of isn't the same League their parents fought against. It's an entirely different world and set of laws.
