When you write your books, do you ever have your close family and friends, read over your work and they give you their feed back? If so, do you ever feel nerves of what they might think of your work?

Colleen Houck Yes. I have a group of very close friends and family who comprise my early reading group. They mostly just tell me if something doesn't make sense or if the character is doing something that doesn't fit their personality. I'm never nervous about them reading early since they are always supportive.

Wow! That's pretty cool. I finished Destiny and couldn't help crying some, but smiling even while the tears spilled. Funny, right? A 30+ year-old man crying at the emotional storm in a book, but it hit me hard. I'm enjoying the "Reawakened" novel now, and would like to know how much of these tales do you pull from study of these cultures? It must be pretty extensive to gather so much.
