How did you start writing with Child? How is the process of working with a co-writer?

Douglas Preston Linc was the editor for my first book, Dinosaurs in the Attic, which was a nonfiction exploration of the American Museum of Natural History in New York and how they collected all that fabulous stuff. He suggested we write a thriller set in the Museum, and that became Relic. It was originally going to be a one-off partnership, but I found I enjoyed working with Linc and writing thrillers so much that we continued.
