You've focused on late 19th/ early/mid 20th century era. Is there any chance you will write a book on any other period of history; or even the current era?

Erik Larson Those are in fact my favorite eras, though from time to time I think about delving into the 18th century, or even the 17th. The trouble is, the farther back you go, the harder it is to find the rich, deep reservoirs of archival material that are so necessary if you are hoping to write what is referred to as "narrative non-fiction."

In your view, what are the must see locations that will make this story even more tangible and terrifying? (I have told many that your book is the "Boiling the Frog" experience of the Third Reich as my encouragement for them to read it.)
