Mike MacDee If you want the opinion of someone who doesn't type like a text message, it's a pretty cool book with an interesting antihero -- sometimes you're not sure whether you're supposed to be rooting for the townspeople who are plagued by the insane Griffin, or for Griffin who is treated poorly by the ignorant townsfolk for being strange. I'm guessing the other answers are probably from people who have no imagination or can't follow any fiction that was written before 1999.

Khushi Rj You can go to http://www.readprint.com this website is full of classic novels, short stories , essays etc. Since classic books usually do not have copyrights , so you can read it all free!!

Michelle Llewellyn Check your nearest thrift store because I want my .75 cents back. The hero is a selfish a--hole who spends the majority of the book, 220 pages to be exact, throwing temper tantrums. The science is very outdated. All characters' actions, including the invisible hero, feel contrived. Do NOT pay full price for this book.

SHRI NITHINN This is an epic book.The science part is really interesting.You can buy the kindle version (its free) from AMAZON and btw you can read kindle books from any android or ios device,you just need to download the app.If you are a sci-fi fan ,you will never regret reading the book .Just read it ,its awesome. :D

Ketutar Jensen It is if you like it and want to reread it. If you don't know anything about it, it's in public domain free, so don't bother wasting money on it.
It's worth to be read, though, and with less than 200 pages, shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, even if you realized you didn't like it.

Chad It starts interesting but it transitions to rather boring. This is a bit common in serialized works where they were paid by the word to print in newspapers. You wanted to keep it going and going. Other of Wells' works have aged much better.

Krithika The book starts pretty well but at one point it becomes very boring. If you can find this book with an 80% discount or more you can go for it. otherwise it is not worth buying this book.
