My publisher recommends it for readers 12 and up.
Lizzy
I would recommend this for readers 12 and up because I think it's important to know what that mental illness is like for young readers but it also takes place in a high school setting.

Content is 12+ -- OCD, depression, peer pressure, bullying all great topics for any middle schooler or high schooler.
Sex scene is ??+ Exposure to sexual content is so varied by family it's tough to "age" but I'd go with the 13-16+ due to the scene with sexual intercourse. It is handled discretely (condom mentioned but no other real details), but seems unnecessary. It doesn't ever come back up, doesn't change their relationship, it seems irrelevant. Lots of YA hugging, kissing, emotions, "hooking up," but the sexual intercourse was a surprise to me (DD read it first). In any case, it's there so you decide.

Probably 12 or 13... There is one sex scene, not too descriptive, but still. (I don't know, maybe TV scenes are a lot more 'detailed'). Then it covers peers pressure, bullying, and OCD.

I would recommend the middle school age (10-13). I just recently graduated high school and would have found this very helpful when going into my high school years (explaining anxiety, coping methods and finding new friends).

It has one sex scene wich is not really too detailed, its has a few cuss words and covers bullying, OCD, and other strong topics so I would say it really depends on the person. Probably for 12 or 13 and up.

12-18. If I would have read this book when I was young It would have changed my life. I think that its an inspiring read even if you don't have OCD.. especially during the turbulent teen years.

I would say 13 or older and under parental consent. The "f" word is mentioned about 5 times, and there is a sex scene. I would not recommend it to my 6th grade students.
