I was like you, I wasn't sure if they would live up to the hype, I actually just read all of them a few days ago. And let me tell you, they are really great. She incorporates just enough of the fairy tale for elements of familiarity, but adds in a lot of plot twists that you won't see coming, great settings, character development, and world building. I loved it.(less)
