How do you and Lincoln Child collaborate in the writing process? Does one person start the book, and then another finish it?

Douglas Preston We plot the books together in a series of brainstorming phone conversations, and then we will create a chapter outline of, say, the first 20 chapters. I will take and write one sequence and Linc the other. And then we rewrite each other--which of course really pisses both of us off--but the end result seems to be a prose style that is different from our individual styles and seems to work well.

My brother and I really love the Pendergast series, so I have a question about those books: is there something you would want to go back and change about Pendergast's history and character, that you now have to work with but sort of regret? Or is there something you would like to do with the character and his history that you really can't because of the confines of the world you and Lincoln created?
