Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Janice Daugharty My most recently published book, "Two Shades of Morning," developed over a period of about 15 years. I kept picking it up and putting it down, torn between whether it was too good to throw away or too bad to keep. Finally, I pinned myself down and really READ it and fell in love with parts of it all over again. Where did the idea come from? Life. My life. As a teen, I got stuck with a distant neighbor and a member of my church who was classy (or so I thought then). Let's just say she was different from the local country folk I knew. My intrigue didn't last long because Sibyl turned out to be one of the most conniving and envious person I ever met. I was an emotional cripple till I finally let go--and saw myself in her as well.
