Janice Daugharty Dorothy, I'm sorry to have just now read this post from you. It's kind of shocking, since the book came out so long ago, and truly few readers liked it as well as you did. Thank you very much. No, no sequels to Necessary Lies. But If you read my other 9 novels, or numerous short stories--all Ebooks now, many still in print--youll find many of the characters revisited, all of the same ilk. Just folk like Pappy Ocain, people I've known all my life. Look at Amazon or any of the other book sites for a list of all I've written. If you find one you like, let me know. Writers need readers like you. So honored, Janice
Janice Daugharty My most recently published book, "Two Shades of Morning," developed over a period of about 15 years. I kept picking it up and putting it down, torn between whether it was too good to throw away or too bad to keep. Finally, I pinned myself down and really READ it and fell in love with parts of it all over again. Where did the idea come from? Life. My life. As a teen, I got stuck with a distant neighbor and a member of my church who was classy (or so I thought then). Let's just say she was different from the local country folk I knew. My intrigue didn't last long because Sibyl turned out to be one of the most conniving and envious person I ever met. I was an emotional cripple till I finally let go--and saw myself in her as well.
