Hi Mrs. Khoury! I'm sure this first question has been asked before, and I apologize if it's repetitive, but how many books are you planning to write in the Corpus world? I just finished Kalahari and it was FANTASTIC~~ My second question, if you don't mind another, is: What gave you the idea for Metalcium and its effects? Did you have to do research on all the scientific terms that only Avani understands?

Jessica Khoury Hi Sophie! Thanks for your question; I'm thrilled you enjoyed Kalahari! Right now, I don't plan on writing any more Corpus books, but it is possible that I may revisit the series in the future. The idea for Metalcium came after I read an article about research conducted by Dr. Lee Cronin at the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Cronin is experimenting with inorganic life, or cells based on metal instead of carbon. You can read more about his experiment by googling his name! It's fascinating stuff. I had to do a ton of research on this in order to write about it, and Avani helped out by translating a lot of the super-technical stuff for the other characters in the book.
