How do you deal with writer’s block?

Lewis M. Weinstein I don't feel that I have ever suffered from writer's block, for several reasons ... (1) I always have an outline; (2) my research pulls me along; (3) I often review my notes for the next scene late in the day, then sleep on it; it is amazing how often the first line of the new scene comes to me overnight; (4) I don't try to rush; if I'm not ready to write, I don't push it; (5) if a scene doesn't materialize in my mind, I assume it doesn't belong in the story and move on to something else
