Accent. There are 15 fecks in the book and 8 fucks. In a book where a bishop gets nails hammered into his head there's no need to censor swearing.

Hi Mark, You've said before that you don't have a plot outline in your head before you start writing. I was fascinated by the scenes in Red Sister that were set in the future which has taken the characters development in an unexpected direction. Did you have an idea of how they would get there, or did you write these scenes more as a challenge, so that you would have to figure it out?

I wanted to know where you get your information on the things the road-brothers taught Jorg, such as Sim teaching Jorg about disguise/hiding in plain sight or Row talking about a knife fight?
