Yeah, I imagined censoring wasn't an issue, given the infamous rape 10 pages in, that's why it struck me as odd. Thanks for answering :)
Well you never know, maybe the editor said "twenty three fucks? I can only give you 8 fucks, the others better be like "frag" or "frick"."
The 3rd book of The Red Queen's War trilogy has 8 fucks in one paragraph in the prologue.
I don't know why, but that kind of fact makes me want to read a book more. I'm quickly becoming a big fan of yours, sir, and I only just started King of Thorns.
I guess the bishop was 'feckless'...or not.
