I was wondering how you created your characters, and how you make them seem so relatable? I know some authors base their's off of real characters. Also, have you ever done a book signing in Illinois or Missouri, and would you think about doing one again? I would really love to get a signed book and just meet you.

Caragh M. O'Brien Sarai ~ I'm pleased to know you find my characters relatable. Thank you! I create them in layers, through multiple drafts, until their motivations and voices become more and more convincing to me. They aren't based off specific people I know, but their emotions are based on feelings I've had. You sound like you might be a writer, too. It would be great to meet you! I've done book signings in Illinois before, and it's always possible my publisher will send me to Missouri. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
