(view spoiler)[Hi, I recently just finished Heir of Novron, and I was wondering if you explained the situation with Degan Gaunt getting the silver medallion and why he received it?
After finishing it, I was just wondering if it was ever explained. Thank you! (hide spoiler)]

Hey thanks for reading the series! I hope you enjoyed the books. You are not the first to wonder about this. You are not the first person to wonder about this. I do put the "pieces of the puzzle" out there but yeah, it can be hard to see where they all fit into place...and some of it I didn't say.
Okay, so here goes <spoiler>The last know "Heir of Novron" was travelling to Ratibor with his pregnant wife, and body guard (Danbury Blackwater). When the Seret Knights found out about it (from Arcadius - Doh) they went there to murder him. While the men fought, the woman was giving birth, and her midwife was hiding in a cabinet. Some seret broke through and killed the wife and child. The heir found his wife and butchered baby and put his necklace around the dead child's neck before going out for one last battle - where he was killed. But...as the midwife was sneaking out to leave, she noticed there were twins...and the second baby was yet to be born. She delivered this child (Royce) and took both him and the necklace with her. Later, when Arcadius showed up asking questions, the midwife got spooked and abandoned the baby...but kept the pretty silver necklace. Years later, she had her own children (Degan and Miranda) as Degan was setting out to make his own fame and fortune he either (a) was given the necklace by his mother or (b) stole it before leaving...I've never said which - and to be honest I'm not sure which one works best. In any case, that's how he got it...and having it painted a target on his back.</spoiler>
I hope that helps! Also, I have an afterword that has various tidbits about stuff like that. If you want a copy, drop me an email - there's a button in my author profile. And I'll give you a copy.

Dear Michael, my friends Mara Brewer and Roman S!delnik are the beginning writers. They have written a couple of books like "Softman" and others http://distribbooks.com/en/catalog.Their genres are fantasy, adventures, detectives. They are your fans and so am I. Could you write a review of "Softman" or advice somebody who could do this. Grateful in advance. Sincerely your, Isabella

Hey Michael - I've been tracking the Death of Dulgath kickstarter and now the Paypal options you have for backers. I love all the stuff that you have there, but my format of choice is definitely Audiobooks these days. I haven't jumped in so far because I didn't see and Audio version. Is this due to contracts (you posts on the subject have been very enlightening) or another reason?

Hi Michael! I was curious about the release date for Age of Empyre. Some authors are pushing back their release dates due to COVID-19, citing not being able to promote the book, do signings, etc. Do you anticipate the release as planned, or might it be moved back? I'll support you either way (and already pre-ordered it), but an added wait would be brutal! :)
