If I'm not mistaken, the Bosch series streaming on Amazon Prime, is a compilation of three (3) different books. How did you decide which parts of each book to merge into the series? BTW, the pilot/1st episode were brilliant with great acting by a stellar cast -- really looking forward to the entire season (and hopefully multiple seasons!). Thank you--Brenda Birdow

Our goal is to deliver the character of Harry Bosch to the viewer with as much depth and humanity that we can. So to do that we sort of cherry-pick the books, always looking for the moments of character that can be realized through dialogue and action. The books are very internal but in the show we can’t say what Harry is thinking. So we reveal him by what he says and what he does. That governs what stories we choose. Both the first and second season draw from three books.

I read a review of The Burning Room that implied Bosch was finished and there would be no more books about him. But after reading it myself, I don't think that's the case. So will Bosch be back? And can we see the video series without becoming Amazon Prime members?
