It depends if you are a person who is against tweens reading books with romance in them but in my point of view I think anyone over the age of ten and is somewhat mature would love it.

This was the book that really got me into reading, and I am so glad I read it. I read this at age 12 and understood it perfectly enough to finish the whole series in a few days. So I would say 10 or older seeing it is now is given as a book club in 6th grade at my school.

Well, that would depend on how mature the kids are. Normally I would suggest 12 and above, but there are some 10-11 year old kids out there who are mature enough to handle it. There is a lot of swearing in some chapters, and some scenes in the book made for older audiences. If your okay with your child reading some of those, then it should be fine. Overall it's a great series and it's a nice break from the usual stuff

Yes, definitely for 11, 12, 13 and possibly for 10. I'm 13 and it was perfect. Most people underestimate how much kids/teens understand. So yes.

This book is on the Oregon Battle of The Books list for 2015 for Grades 6-8, so that would be ages 12-14, so I think it's definitely understandable for 12-13 year-olds. Whether or not your 10-11 year-olds understand it will probably vary depending on the child.

I don't think age 10 and 11 or younger will understand what's going on in the book. It will be a great book for 13 or older, although 12 could possibly understand.

It depends. If you are a person that has a sensitive mind towards murder and romance, then this may not be the best reading choice for you - the age doesn't really matter, take into consideration that the book is highly readable (in terms of vocabulary) for all levels.

I was 13 when I read this. I understood the content. There was some questionable few chapters, but other than that i would recommend it to 12 and 13 year olds.

When I was in 6th grade it was a reading group option and all of my friends absolutely loved it, understood it, and felt all of the emotions the author was pointing at. Then I read it in 8th grade and felt the same way (there was also no issue with the romance, it was moderate but still powerful for the story.)

I am 12 and I thought it really was a clean book so I think it would have been okay for me when I was 9 only because I am on the mature side for my age . It really depends on how mature you are it does have romance and teens kissing but not to an extreme extent and it is not at all graphic.

I read this when I was 11 (maybe 12?) and I understood it. It really depends on how strong of a reader the kid is, but it's reasonable for a 10 year old to understand.

Think about it ,some younger kids can read it like myself .It was great!And I'm 11! I recommended this to my friend but she didn't understand it very well, so I get your point.
