Two things. Never give up and have fun. There are going to be people who tell you writing is a waste of time, you'll never make money, and so on. Don't listen to them. If you enjoy writing, do it. But you have to enjoy it and it has to be fun. If you start looking at writing as a burden or just another job, you'll burn out and stop writing.
