Hello! Thank you for the Vorkosigan books; I just finished Captain Vorpatril's alliance and I love what good, kind people the characters are and how much they're able to help each other; it's an optimistic lens for the real world. I appreciated your thoughts in this interview: https://nautil.us/does-science-fiction-shape-the-future-543468/ did any of the other authors' answers surprise you or make you think?

Since I'd met several of my colleagues along the way at cons and such, I didn't find the range of answers surprising, no. I was a little startled at how much Cory Doctorow and I were on the same page about not trusting SF writers, or writing, with real-world decisions. In almost the same words, though mine were do-not-quote.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
A question about the Five Gods world: I would assume that each soul is taken up by one God and one God alone. Has there ever been a case of a soul being given special honors by more than one God? I can think of a man who once bore the miracles for two different Gods, and was the cause of a restoration of something significant to a third. I can picture those funerary rights as being far from the norm.

For years I kept a journal and added quotes from your books that resonated with me. I don't know which book two came from: #2 - This one has been almost a mantra for me … and one of the reasons I started a Ph.D. in 2000 at age 50. Miles’ mother: "I want something(s) to look forward to so the decaying body is ignored in the excitement of the other.” Is that right? (First showed up in one of my journals before 2001.

Planning on a re-read, I realized I apparently don't have an Ebook version of GJatRQ. I tried to find it in apple books but they only have the audio version, and it isn't listed at all in their list of Vorkosigan works. I'd prefer to read over listen currently. Any ideas why I can't find an Ebook for this novel? Could it be some sort of temporary glitch? I hope so!
