Melissa 1) I'm also wondering if Calum is the came Calum, and if he is, then something is weird...

2) I'm wondering if Kitt really does have feelings for Paedyn. I forget the chapter, but he mentioned somewhere that the King was encouraging him to spend time with her. I'm wondering if Daddy Dearest did that intentionally because he saw how Kai felt about her, and we can't have Kai being happy with feelings for even a minute. If that's true, then maybe Kitt's interest is wrapped up in his daddy issues?

3) I can see him planning the marriage as a way of bridging all the division between Elites and Ordinaries. But you know what? He could do the same thing by marrying her to his trusted Enforcer!

Side note... I really don't like Kitt at all. I hope Book 3 ends with either:

A) Kai and Paedyn as king and queen, uniting the groups, and Kitt can write poetry in a tower somewhere.

B) Kai and Paedyn take off to some faraway land and leave Kitt to stew in his own juices. Peace out!
☆y a n a ☆ personally, i think it was calum who gave him the ring, so maybe calum hasn't given up on the resistance yet. if an ordinary is able to marry a king, it might show the elites that ordinaries can be just as powerful, if not, more. i also want to know how calum is a free man with all that he's done....it's just confusing and brings up more questions but i hope this helped.
Alex E I think it has something to do with power and control? Or maybe to show ordinaries aren’t diseased and he wants to change things. Also, Calum gave him the idea? Is this the same Calum who was head of the Resistance? Does that feel odd? Or did I miss something? I thought Calum and his daughter were prisoners after the last trial. Something is off here.
Aman There are two things to note:

1. Calum (the resistance leader who somehow became Kitt’s adviser - who he himself mentioned he trusts) was the one to advise Kitt about something and gave him the box.

2. The queen mentioned about the notes the previous king left behind for Kitt on how he should rule Ilya.

Kitt was hesitant about Calum’s advice. But between chapter 42 where we know he still hasn’t accepted Calum’s advice and is made aware of the previous King’s notes and the end of the book he has now convinced himself to marry Paedyn. I don’t think his intentions are good because his driving force was his father’s notes and not necessarily Calum’s advice.

Also, Calum could very well be a traitor who gave away Paedyn’s father and also the resistance’s attack in Bowl. Lauren did hook me up with the ending!
izzy 1.) I think that kitt did it to help the Ordinarys and then Pae is going to have to choose between being with Kai or saving the ordinarys..
Also I’m so confused I thought Calum was part of the resistance..????

2.) kitt still loves pae

3.) Kitt dies and Kai becomes the king and Pae the queen
Side note: never really liked Kitt I always kinda hated him

I hope book 3 ends with:
-Kitt dying <:
-I’m gonna be so mad if Pae and Kai do not end up together

MZ Oml this drives me insane bc I saw it coming. I legit new, the second Calum passed the box across the table to Kitt, I knew what was happening. I just feel like Kitt's being a bit of an a-hole, cause he knows that Kai is utterly whipped for Paedyn, and no matter what Kitt feels for her, he should be loyal to Kai. I was going insane as soon as the Calum stuff clicked. It's got to be the same Resistance Calum, but how? And why would Calum want Kitt to marry Paedyn, I get it could help the Resistance, but surely Calum had to have realized that Paedyn had a thing for Kai? But, anyways, some of my theories are as follows:

1. Kitt isn't over his daddy issues and just wants to live up to his father. Maybe it has something to do with the way his father and Kai's mother felt at first, maybe he envies it? Maybe he wants to recreate it? Idk.

2. He's trying to get close to Paedyn just to betray her like how she did him, but idk how he's do it.

3. Kitt's a selfish bi-ch and wants to RUIN any shred of humanity left in Kai, which doesn't seem likely cause, c'mon, they're ARE still brothers.

4. Kitt wants to fix his father's mistakes. Also HIGHLY unlikely cause he's idolized his father, and still thinks the Ordinaries are deceased.

5. He truly still loves Paedyn and wants to be with her, but I highly doubt that even if it's true, marrying her isn't still some kind of ploy against the Resistance and the Ordinaries.
Fleur This question has driven me to the brink of insanity whenever I think of it. People have been saying he wants to unite elites and ordinary which in My opinion, is bs. I mean, think about it; kitt wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and rule like he did (he was training his whole life to do that) and he seemed pretty annoyed with Paedon after she killed his father. Though he may still have feelings for her, whatever reason he proposed, it can’t be good.

Here are some of my ideas why:

1. I read some else’s answer and thought it sounded interesting, (so this technically isn’t my own idea) where Calum gave kitt the ring and somehow managed to persuade kitt into marrying Paedon which could help rebuild the resistance?? This idea makes me question Calum’s loyalty.

2. He could be marrying her to gain the ordinary’s trust and then to draw them out of hiding to finally get rid of them for good??

3. could he be using this as an opportunity to get close to Paedon and get revenge? (This is just a draft idea I don’t have much info backing it up)

4. Whatever he is planning I think he is also trying to make his brother jealous as Kai and kitt both love Paedon.

These are just draft ideas if anyone has anything to back them up please say :)
natalee technically we don’t know yet, but i took it as a) he still loves her, b) he wants to build up his reputation as a brutal king & is using paedyn’s reputation to his advantage, or c) he’s trying to see how loyal kai is to him? these are just my theories tho! <3
Adena Lim I think that Kitt proposed to Paedyn so he can get close to her and betray her like she did to him or that he’s testing kai’s loyalty with her because does nobody notice how Kitt asks Kai did anything unforeseen circumstances happen to her meaning if something happened between them because like maybe kitt knew that kai lied? (Just my opinion probably wrong)
May I kinda hate it because lauren literally hinted through tye whole story that kai was made for pae.
Seriously, kitt does NOT deserve pae whatsoever.
My personal opinion: KAI AND PAE ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER
Valentine Lelez i think that in fearless, kitt dies and then kai has to be king and then payden will be his queen
maryse i think its to test kai but idk
