Amna ^-^ Yeah, I think its that he still cares. His chapters show him constantly writing abt her to try and relieve his mind from his thoughts of her. I think he remembers those warm moments in powerless and wants to hope that his grief will be numbed if he has her. Using her as emotional support sorta. It's undeniable he was attracted since the first book and was comfortable trusting her, so maybe he thinks he has to earn her back too? And so he uses forced proximity? tbh in Powerless I kinda was hoping for him to propose bcs he seemed so genuine and caring.

Amna ^-^ Also I guess reputation like u said; It WAS Calum that pitched the idea. I guess Calum might have talked him into believing the resistance's side. Knowing Kitt, happiness is the main thing he wants for his people, so he might hope to sorta bring peace with this elite-ordinary marriage. Of course, that's just a theory (A FOOD THEORY! Bon appetit~!) too! but yeah, I agree with the first two. Altho I don't quite get how he's testing Kai's loyalty. If you could explain, that'd be awesome =D! Thxxx~! ^-^

natalee loll i’m not sure if there’s actual evidence to support the loyalty theory, but he probably felt confused about why kai was gone so long on his first mission for kitt when he used to always immediately complete missions for their father. so, at first, i took him questioning kai in the last chapter as him no longer trusting his brother. however, this c was probably more about making sure kai was over paedyn before he proposed to her. this would lead kai to self-sabotage because he swore he was over pae. :)

Amna ^-^ oop nice theory, I think I get it! And in his chapters he was always kinda worried abt Kai not coming back, so I wouldn't be shocked if that's part of the reason.
