Hello, if you hand a magic wand / time machine, is there any scene in the EXPATS you'd change and why?

Chris Pavone Great question! I'm afraid I don’t have a great answer, which is: no. I worked on The Expats so intensely, on so many drafts, and read it in bits and parts and entirety so many times, that by the time I was finished with my responsibilities to the text (reading proofs in 2011, about a half-year before publication) I was completely sick of the thing, and I haven't felt any compulsion to revisit it. I’d rather worry about problems I can solve than go searching for those I can’t.

"The Expats" reads like a movie. It was really easy to imagine the book being turned into a film. I understand CBS Films bought the rights. Do you have any information about the progress of this project? It'd be great to actually get to see all the places the book describes. Thank you.
