(view spoiler)[this has been bugging me, and maybe I'm the only one...in Breaking the Rules, Echo and Noah seem great at the end...in Isiah's book, Echo seems to be reverting slightly--wearing long sleeves and is kind of scaring Noah slightly (or it mentions that he's worried as is Isiah) is that part of what Mrs. Collins says that some days she may just need to cover, or is she dealing with more? (view spoiler)[Hi Monica,
Yes, Echo does backslide a little in Crash Into You, but this goes along with what Mrs. Collins says to Noah at the end of Breaking the Rules. These scars are lifelong. Overall, Echo is going to have good days, but occasionally, she'll have a bad day. Some days, she just might be cold. All of us have days where we are fearless and have no problems tackling our demons. Some days, we just don't want to don't want to deal with them.
In Crash Into You, Echo just needs a few days to not deal with people staring. She's not completely backsliding, she just needs a few days where people aren't constantly reminding her of something she can't change. By the end of Crash Into You, she's a strong character standing by Isaiah, even sacrificing her brother's car for Isaiah without one tear.
Thank you for the question!
