First off, thanks for the work. Your books are old friends. I just started rereading "Penric's Demon", and he's just getting to know Desdemona a bit, thinking about what was happening to him, and it came to me that one day I would very much like to read the story of Penric's first imprinting on the next generation. Re: Pen and the next generation, it depends on whether you mean his influence on his children and students, or what happens when he (eventually) dies, and Des attempts to jump to a new person. I am in absolutely no hurry to address that complex issue!
Children and students are rather more present in Pen's current time frame. Many possibilities there, too good to be jumped over.

I feel a very strong spiritual affinity with the Five Gods theology to the extent of seriously considering writing it as my religion on the New Zealand census form this week. My desultory searches have not shown up anyone else taking it this seriously. Are you aware of any expressions of the Five Gods spirituality outside of your novels?
