I'm about halfway through Splintered which I'm already so obsessed with! I'm in love with Jeb! Anyways, it reminds me of this video game called Alice:Madness Returns. They're both so twisted in a unique way! I was wondering if you got inspiration from the game at all?

A.G. Howard I've been asked that before, and it's so funny because I'm not a huge gamer (mainly because I'm so busy writing and being a mom/wife I don't have time to play them) so I didn't even know about the game until I'd already plotted out and was writing my book. My brother told me about it.

As soon as I heard about it, I researched it to be sure our plot lines and characters were different, which they are. The only likeness I could find was that it's a dark, and at times gory, spin on AiW. Our Wonderlands are completely different, especially the citizens there. Even the girl characters are different, as mine is the great-great-great granddaughter of Alice and the one in the game *is* Alice.

I'm very visual and LOVE the dark imagery of the American McGee world. :)
