What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Nancy Gideon It's a ghost story! My childhood home was rumored to be haunted. When I was preschool age, I used to imagine that I could float down our stairs after the third step down. I still remember the feeling vividly. In adulthood, I told this to my sister who'd been researching the house's history and she revealed that the first owner of the house had been an elderly woman who lived alone. She fell down the stairs and died of her injuries while lying at the bottom of them. Creepy. After learning that, I never had the experience again.
