Nancy Gideon Cleaning. I know, right? But something about the rote mindlessness of chores opens channels to creative thought. Writer's Block . . . start up that vacuum or do laundry. Another sure fire way is with a critique group weekend. Having my friends over to talk plot gets the juices flowing every time.
