Rene' VanDerHeyden asked Michael Webb:

Good afternoon Michael, I have a couple of questions for you, the first is for fun, I thought trilogy meant 3 books not 4. I am not complaining about an extra book as this is an enjoyable read for me. Now a more difficult question, did you keep the relations between the characters PG for a broader readership or just not something you enjoy reading. Your characters are very human and relatable in thought and action?

Michael Webb Haha, yes you're right. Originally I intended for the series to be only 3 books. After that "trilogy" finished I wanted to continue the story, so I'm starting a new set of 3 more books (books 4-6). I'm referring to the second set as "Shadow Knights Generations" because it follows the next generation of knights.

As far as the content goes...I write my books for adults but make them content appropriate for younger readers. My son was 12 when I wrote the Last Shadow Knight and I wanted to make sure it was something I'd be comfortable with him reading. So my readers now range from early teens to 80+ in age. But also personally...I do prefer books with less PG13/R content, so my writing will always tend that way.
