How do you deal with writer’s block?

Mikel B. Classen Though I'm known for writing non-fiction, over the years I've written quite a bit of fiction. I have a novel coming out soon and my Lake Superior Tales is short story fiction. This is probably going to sound a little weird, but I either kill a character or blow something up within my story. When you begin to ask, How does this effect my characters? It usually opens a flood gate of directions for your surviving characters. How does it affect the world within the story? Boom, all the possibilities fly.
