Ms. Nielsen, I'm an aspiring author and a fan of your books. Do you write books mostly within the genres you like to read? I admire how you're able to write both fantasy and historical fiction well!

I read pretty widely, and across a lot of different genres, which I think is really helpful. That becomes influential in me writing a fantasy without magic, or a mystery set in a historical world, etc.

Okay, so my teacher says that you and her have been taking a little bit and that you said that your characters speak and have conversations with you. I feel like I have many voices in my head that are doing the same thing, so I was just wondering: How do you get these voices from your head to on the page?
