When I think of my childhood whimsy and my adoration for unique fantasy stories, I always come back to the Tuesdays at the Castle series. Thank you for writing such a wonderful set of books that held up just as much when I reread them a decade after I first encountered them! What books would you say are your most influential literary inspirations?

For the Castle Glower books in particular, I wanted the vibe of E. Nesbit's books like Five Children and It, with of course a big dash of Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles. A lot of my middle grade writing is very Wrede influenced, as well as Diana Wynne Jones, two huge heroes of mine. what are your favorite type of books to read and which are your favorite to write? i like making up stories about medievil times with orcs and dragons and wars and warrior princesses best but i like reading modern day books about crazy huge families what about you
